Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. I wasn't the type to fall at the feet of a guy, especially not for his looks. I didn't waste my time with crushes and boyfriends and all the dating apps people my age use these days. I didn't really see a point in spending my life looking so hard for someone when I could be doing things to better myself. But for some reason the moment I saw this man I could not take my attention away from him.
