Eva Ashford never had the perfect life. Living in Seattle alone, at the age of 19 left her stranded and homeless. With barely an education or even a job, she resorted to prostitution. Chris. He's blond, handsome, lively, a quarterback and a junior in high school. He has it all good, but he hates being popular, no one knows how he's really like. She also tries not to get into trouble during school, her life depends on it. Her mom left her and her dad is an alcoholic mess that abuses her. She works in a bookstore and as an library assistant to make money so she can take care of herself, 'cause her dad would waste all the money he makes on alcohol. Her life has no meaning, she has nothing, she's all alone and has no one to go to. But what happens when Chris wakes up hungover on Rhea's couch? Will their everyday life still be the same? Would their friendship continue to grow into something more?
