Rose Tyler's life had never been normal ever since she had met the Doctor. At least, not normal to most people. But to her, the life she had with the Doctor was now as normal as anything she could think of.
When the Doctor leaves for a while, he's gone for longer than anticipated, and Rose is left on present time Earth. She struggles to go back to "normal".
When he returns, she realizes that her feelings for him are deeper than she had thought. But his feelings toward her seem like nothing more than those of a friend.
