Roger Littleton, recently divorced and more than slightly depressed is talked into taking a cruise by his friends. The "trip of a lifetime" they told him and it may have actually turned out that way had the ship not sunk in a hurricane that quickly overtook the craft.
Now apparently the only survivor, alone in the vast ocean with nothing but a few supplies he can do nothing but hope to survive and now he has plenty of time to revisit the demons that haunt him.
