You guys think I should post this? I have a few chapters but I'm afraid. It's my True Story...
It all started with a nickname.
Leyla Baker was meant to be an ordinary child.
Meant to.
But she wasn't.
She had a "disorder" called trichiliomania.
It was a pretty rare disorder. But she had it.
Leyla wasn't normal. Sometimes she wanted to be someone else. She wanted to be normal.
She just wasn't.
The people in lily's life come and go.
Only few stay.
And those people change Lily's life.
Forever.
Maybe.
Just maybe...
She'll be normal again.

"Ten years ago today was the worst day of my life. On the 17th of November 2007, I lost my best friend in a hit-and-run car accident. Caroline loves her new friend Lily. They do almost everything together. But as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that Lily is not everything she seems to be. Where did Lily come from, what is she hiding, and what's the real reason for their intense friendship? For those of you who are already familiar with my writing, I should let you know that this short story is nothing like anything else I've written. I wrote it as a birthday gift for a ten-year-old girl. She devoured the whole thing in couple of hours and when she finished, she told me she loved it. This ten-year-old girl is very girly, she likes unicorns and rainbows and magical worlds, but she also likes Sci-Fi and scary, threatening bad guys. As a result, the genre of this book is quite niche, and it may not be appropriate for every ten-year-old. There are some confrontations I would categorise as "mild peril." Spoiler Alert: If you're a parent looking for something for a child of a similar age, there are two deaths in this book and so you may want to check it out first because I recognise every child is different. (The girl I wrote is for said they weren't graphic deaths, and she was fine with both in the context of the story.) Anyway, she asked me to put it out there for others to enjoy, so ... enjoy.Complete
