We are taught from a young age that magic, monsters, and all other sorts of things which go bump in the night, are not real. We learn to accept this as truth despite our sense trying to tell us otherwise. That feeling of fear that creeps up your spine when you walk through a dark room alone, The sense that someone is watching you when you are alone, or even that vague sense of Deja Vu when meeting someone for the first time- all proof of something more to the world than meets the eye. The fact is lost monsters of legend and creatures of the night do exist but by the time we become adults we have learned to ignore everything that does make 'rational sense' to our minds. This is called the veil effect. The Veil protects humans, keeping them from trouble more often than not, but also allows monsters to hide in plain site. There are moments when that weakens, the Witch Trials are a prime example. Even more so when more and more people keep claiming they see these monsters at night, which also begs the question is the Veil fading? If so what would this do to all the supernatural and monsters that lie behind it. What would happen when Dylan Blackwood is being claimed as one of those said monsters, then throw in the whole factor of being in love with a human that just spells out trouble for her and Carter Wright the two girls had been friends for years, but when the Veil is fading is Dylan ready to face the woman she loves with the biggest secret of her life laid bare?
