Story for the Ages (short story)

hey guys, this is something ive been writing to give to a professional author so he can give me feedback. It is a short story so i hope it doesnt bore you to death. This story involves a mother beating her daughter, but it is not graphic. Just in case, if you are squeamish about even mentioning a parent abusing a child, don't read.
