Aravis has wanted to run away from her horrible, abusive family for years. Now, she's finally finished.
While in the woods, she finds a group of runaways just trying to get by. Trent, Dash, Charlotte, Dovee, and Jamie call themselves the Runaway Society and take Aravis in. But as she gets to know the 5 strangers, she realizes that the Runaway Society isn't as simple as it seems. With rival runaways, murderers that are hunting them down, police and just the simple force of nature is a very big conflict for the Society.
