The tension between Heatwave and Quickshadow thickens when a few pent-up feelings are brought to light, and they quickly begin to realize that they need to set aside their differences (and maybe their emotions) in order to keep the team together as major problems begin to surface. Adopting a helpless, abandoned sparkling doesn't seem so complicated at first, but this one happens to have a dangerous secret, one none of them know. And when that secret casts over the team in a dark shadow with questionable motives and a mysterious links to her past, Quickshadow has to make one of the most difficult choices in her functioning: give up her one chance to save someone she thought she'd lost, or risk everything to protect her new-found family. Story of a Sparkling-Transformers fanfic
An ambush. That was all there was to it. The Prime was alone at that time, launching his only sparkling off world to protect her. He was so close to losing her to the Decepticons, at least that was what he thought. He was left heavily damaged, leaking energon, for the other Autobots to find. The priority was not the Prime, but his sparkling. Their objective had been achieved, they did not need to do anything else. Optimus Prime was for their Lord and master to defeat, not them.
