The Journal: I am Jezz

A comma and his young aunt's query prompt Jezz Morgan-Kapule to publish the journal in which he recorded his life experiences. He narrates this story of his life, including how he became friends and family with Amber Ketchum, the daughter of Ash Ketchum and Misty Waterflower, and Jay Morgan, the son of the notorious anti-heroes Jessie and James of Team Rocket, and how they led him to his own self-discovery.

This story is told primarily from the perspective of twenty-three-year-old Jezz Morgan-Kapule, with inserts of his journal's contents and extras authored by his friends and family. The journey begins with Jezz's untraditional upbringing, curves around his troubling pre-teen and adolescent years, and then folds into his chaotic adulthood. There are two primary timelines: the journal and the present time. Each chapter is either dated or the date is referenced within the contents.
