Many children are never exposed in reality to violent situations; such as guns, bombs and such. That is what seventeen-year-old Daisy Trevor thought. She had been living in a happy life situation; she lived with her twenty-year-old brother in an apartment, loved school, the only worry on her mind her exams and she spent lots of time with her boyfriend Max. Life was good. Until one day . . .

Another lockdown drill at school. That was what was thought. Until criminals come through the school demanding for Daisy. They take her before the police are able to show up. Daisy's brother Jason is sick with worry.

Max hated school that day. He loved Daisy too much. They have been together since, well, since forever. After school, he and Jason went straight to the station to get some answers.

The police were setting up a force to go rescue the young girl. Jason and Max demanded to go with them, which they allowed with some persuasion. But, Max knew the truth. He asked Jason to stay. Someone had to work so she wouldn't come home to living on the streets. So, Jason was left behind, but always had his phone on him, waiting for Daisy's text saying: I'm alright, Jason. I got away. I'll see you soon, love you!

Agent Shane Warner was captain of his team against the criminals. He would help get the girl back and get promoted even more. This job meant everything to him. He was the youngest to get this far in the police force-- nineteen. He wanted to keep a record. He barely enjoyed life because his job was his life.

He never knew he'd fall for the damsel in distress. How is he to compete with Max? But he can't deny his feelings when he too is taken and finds Daisy. She is so incredible, unlike any girl he has ever met or been with. Besides, he was only nineteen-- not too old, right?

Join all the characters in this exciting new series of mystery and finding faith and hope through terrifying situations.

Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

BEFORE YOU READ- DISCLAIMER! The main character is blunt, hates life and is very vulgar and hateful towards everyone and everything . However there is a reason for this. She is strong-headed and short-tempered, ill-mannered and disrespectful (though some may say in a loveable way). If this isn't for you, then I wouldn't suggest reading this book. It's about character development and personal growth. - Kody Lawrence is not normal. On the contrary, she's everything but. When the hot-headed, short-tempered, rude new girl arrives in the small town of Raven Hollow, Maine, most people are put off by her unexpected and -considering her horrible attitude and pessimism- unwanted appearance. However, despite her constant locked jaw, clenched fists and cold glare, Lilah Johansson, Kody's appointed 'buddy', can't help but want to be her new friend in spite of their not-so-impressive first impression. But Lilah is not to be sold separately, and with the friendly redhead comes four boys with charming smiles and welcoming arms that hide their own secrets and covered-up lies. Amongst the group of five, Dakota Black is the one who stands out with his calculating eyes and kind heart, and while Kody has no intention to stick around longer than a few months, he might just be the one to change that. With a duffel bag of money, a box-filled with different identities, a pocket full of problems and a closet stacked to the brim with secrets, Kody's quiet and peaceful Senior year takes a couple of unexpected turns. The only question is: Are they for better or for worse? ___ (Small disclaimer: The first few chapters aren't the greatest, but I took some time off from writing this book and came back to it when I'd gotten a bit better with writing, so if you can get past the rocky start, hopefully you won't regret it). ___ Re-published: 7.4.18 (7th of April) Finished: 9.3.20 (9th of March) Currently editing and correcting mistakes / plot holes. (Editing chapters at random)

He wants her, no matter how tightly she's locked her heart away. Leopold Sword doesn't need much in life-he's got wealth, power, a soccer captain's jersey, and the title of Brave Lions Academy's king pinned to his chest. He rules the halls with ease, balancing being the elite golden boy with a quiet discipline that keeps his crown firmly in place. But when a stray soccer shoe almost takes out a blonde scholarship student, Leo's world tilts. Ava Carper isn't like the other girls clawing for his attention. She's got walls made of fucking steel, eyes sharp enough to cut him, and a walk that screams, Don't even try. Challenge accepted. Ava Carper was built for survival, not romance. She's got enough to deal with-kicking ass in med school, keeping her overprotective twin brother Alex off her back, and nursing a heart freshly shattered by the boy who was supposed to be her forever. Spoiler: He wasn't. Now, Ava doesn't have time for distractions, and especially not for someone like Leopold Sword-irritatingly handsome, shamelessly arrogant, and way too dangerous for her already bruised soul. But Leo's not the type to give up. Not on the pitch, not in life, and especially not on her. She can shove him away, snap at him, even try to block him out entirely, but it's too late. She's his-whether she likes it or not. Leo will do whatever it takes to win Ava's trust, even if it means selling his soul to the devil. And if she's got demons in her heart? Well, he's ready to fucking exorcise them. "I'm not looking for a hero." "Good. I'm not here to save you. I'm here to ruin you-in the best fucking way possible."
