A mysterious drifter helps the pariah of a dying town unlock supernatural powers to save the West from a growing evil.

Set in the high prairies during the Klondike era, this is the pilot for a supernatural period-Western dramatic web series. In a border area disputed by the United States and Canada, we find the town of Ransom.

Ransom is dying. Its mines have pinched out; fresh water is scarce; a hard winter and this recent spring's plague have decimated the remaining population. Only a few more departures away, Ransom is quickly becoming a ghost town not including the spectral residents who insist on finding justice for their untimely deaths.

Bad luck is breeding in the shadows and lurks amidst the dry surrounding plains. The saloon remains open where whisky is downed with superstition as a chaser. The prices aren't friendly at the Golden Nugget and neither are the patrons.

The series revolves around an unlikely friendship between the local Water Diviner and a mysterious Drifter who comes to town warning, "Something is coming."

A down to earth cowboy with a past is thrown into the supernatural world, when he falls for a vampire who has demons of his own. Daryl's a bullfighter on the national circuit, stretching his pay check as far as it will go between himself and his brother's farm back in Texas. He also has the misfortune of being incredibly unlucky in love and stumbles into the wrong bar trying to forget a night he can only half remember. The bartender tells him to not go looking for trouble, but amongst the dark shadows and beautiful faces, it finds him in the form of Ryker. Ryker isn't known for being a nice guy. He's got a line that most people would believe is too malleable, but he is one of the good guys. Always shooting off his mouth at the wrong time or getting himself into fights he should avoid (but can handle) he sees the cowboy and goes in search of a fight. But neither man is prepared for the battle of wills and emotions that ensue from their broken attempts at understanding whatever it is that draws them together time and again. The more Daryl is drawn into Ryker's dark world, the more obvious it is that the Cowboy's half forgotten past may be more related to the shadow games and machinations of the very agency that has been trying to kill Ryker and the rest of the supernatural world for decades now. Mature themes. Violence, Swears. (Based in the universe of @Whiskeyjanedoe 's Breaking series. This is a little more than a love story) cover by @whiskeyjanedoe
