Raised in an underground black market capitalizing on a secret to death, Blake has been trained to fight and kill from childhood. Every day was a test of her strength, and every fight was one her survival banked on. Losing wasn't an option until she had already lost. A year and a half ago, she managed to escape with the help of someone on the inside -- but she doesn't remember how. All Blake knows is that she has to keep running.
Now that she's been on the move for over a year, it's getting harder to find people who will house her under the table or give her a job without record. The most recent option is a broken down inn on the north side of town. The problem is the people Blake has to live with -- they can't get along for long enough to stop fighting, so how will they survive when other threats come into play?
Blake's past is back to find her, and they're not alone. The North isn't always pretty, the weather has never been weirder, and who are those hazy strangers Blake keeps catching out of the corner of her eye? It's time to find out what the truth is before it's all too late.
This is a story of greed, death, and loyalty. There will be blood, revenge, and secrets. Our characters will deal with gangs, ghosts, violence, betrayal, and corruption. It will not be nice; but there is always beauty to be found in the journey itself.

I swallowed my saliva, chills running down my spine. I felt my palms getting sweaty as my legs nervously started bouncing up and down. Without giving me time to answer, he took a step closer to me, eyes still locked in mine. Each time he inched closer, I used my right foot to slowly push myself and the stool back. It seemed to be the only option to get away from him; until he forced his hands below the sides of my thighs, holding the stool in place.
