Scentless Sovarielle (Scentmarked #1)
Sovarielle was born into a legacy of music and magic-one of the legendary sound dragons of Whispervale. But everything changed the day an attack stole her sense of smell, severing her from the bond that connects dragonkind. Exiled by instinct and grieving the loss of her family and horde, she vanished into the human world, learning to navigate life through sound instead of scent. In dragon society, scent is everything. It guides memory, emotion, and-most importantly-connection. It is how dragons recognize their mates. Without it, Sovarielle is considered broken, untethered... alone. Years later, a single misstep leads her back into dragon territory-and into a storm of long-forgotten alliances, mythical creatures, and rising tensions. From sirens guarding sacred seas to secretive centaurs with ancient wisdom, Sovarielle's path is shaped by those who see her not as damaged, but different. And as feelings deepen between her and a dragon who seems to know more than he says, she begins to wonder: If dragons find their mates by scent... will she ever truly know if she's found hers? A map of the country is included in the prologue, showing dragon territories, human cities, and key locations mentioned throughout the story. For readers who enjoy diving deeper, I've also created The Scentmarked Archive, which includes an interactive map and expanded lore exploring ancient dragon territories, mysterious islands, siren legends, shifter homelands, and more. BOOK 1: Marked by Flame ( Currently Editing)
*****BOOK ONE****** Set in a continent called Irevalen, where the skies are ruled by dragon-shifters - immortal beings who can take human form, but never fully shed their beast. Centuries ago, a Blood Treaty was made between dragons and the last surviving human kingdom. To maintain balance and peace, a dragon from the royal bloodline must bond with a human every 500 years - not just a marriage, but a soul-binding, deep magic deal that ensures dragons don't destroy the mortal realm with their fire and fury. Or so they say. --- 🔥 The Male Lead: Kaelith Vyron, the current heir to the SKYCOURT throne - feared warrior, emotionless strategist, and cold-blooded dragon prince. Dragonica was a first draft that has been rewritten and renamed. The new piece will be uploaded under the name Necrotic Dawn Eternia is a boundless world, compassed by three resplendent moons: Andromedus, Andromita, and Jediah. The kingdoms thereof are beginning to favor science over the older, magical arts, which are ever-fading. Legend has it that ancient dragons and orithuns, bloodthirsty, humanoid creatures rumored to now be dwelling underground, sought to eliminate the magical arts from the arsenal and collective knowledge of all other Eternian species, albeit it with independent reasoning. Celestia Lunalia is a sorceress, one of the last of her kind, from just outside of Atreus, an Eternian village just large enough to arguably constitute a town, populated by a tight-knit, hardworking community. Despite her coveted abilities, Celestia leads a modest life tending to her farm, solemnly practicing the arts passed on by her late mother and father, and enjoying the company of her protective lynx-Maine Coon, Violet. Her life is suddenly turned upside down, however, when orithuns surface and begin attacking travelers and residents of Atreus, culminating in the mysterious Ilios, an enigmatic man seemingly unknown to everyone, saving her life without convincing explanation. Everything she thought she knew about her world is brought into question and shattered in turn upon embarking on a journey of discovery, danger, and growth as the world around her erupts into war and she seems to be the only one who can save it.Complete
