The year is 2040, Ryan Dauberman finished school and had no clue in what he should do, all he knows is his family wants him to be a lawyer. However one day this all changes when one day he receives a mysterious phone call which begins his internship with a branch of police called the Investigative Bureau of Intelligence. It is a small yet deeply interwoven team of police. At first, he believes it will be like any other internship but with the help of new members in the IBI, he begins to dig up an old cold case.

Hachiman's curiosity was overwhelmingly stronger than his will and he decided to check what the box contained. That was when he was let into a dangerously life-threatening situation. Minutes after experiencing what it feels like to have a gun pointed at your head, he is miraculously saved by multiple anonymous people who seemed to be 'experienced' at their jobs. He was inspired by those people who also risked their lives to save others.
