Four teenagers from four different cliques and two different countries come together due to a music assignment and a music contest, and goes from a victory in a small contest to becoming a whole ass new internet sensation and somehow gets on a famous TV show while trying to stay anonymous. Or, four idiots gets pushed into the spotlight with no warning, while trying to be secretive. They fail <3 ---- Kicking instruments down when they got frustrated, but never rough enough to break them. The first meeting, sitting awkwardly in a silent music room as Purpled filled the silence with a simple chord progression, Ranboo adding a riff, Tommy with a beat and Tubbo with melody. They were back there, just jamming out without a care in the world, as if the 6500 pairs of eyes weren't staring at them, it was just the four, back in Tommy's small, stuffy bedroom, barely enough space to move. Purpled and Tommy sang the last verse, feeling as the pressure of being watched melted away, all that was left was four best friends, "Take me to your best friend's house Goin' 'round this roundabout, oh yeah Oh, take me to your best friend's house I loved you then and I love you now" They all sung together, for a final time in that competition. This was it. This was checkmate. --- REUPLOADED FROM Ao3 (Divergent Paths by Celeste1la (aka me)) --- 100 views 2021-07-07 1k views 2021-07-29 #2 on #purpled 100 votes 2021-08-05 2k views 2021-08-08 #23 on #tommyinnit #1 on #bandau #11 on #georgenotfound #9 on #ranboo 3k views 2021-08-11 4k views 2021-08-16 #30 on #tubbo #7 on #philza 5k views 2021-08-21 10k views 2021-09-30
The Standouts - A Critique Contest by PAULAPDX (Summer 2019 Edition) by paulapdx
6 parts Complete
🛑 - CLOSED until 2021. ***If you're interested in my critiques, you might want to check out my weekly newsletter for opportunities to get a personalized critique. https://paula.substack.com/p/coming-soon Does your work stand out in an overly-crowded landscape? Does your story & writing shine as far as: ★ - Concept ★ - Voice ★ - Storytelling The Standouts is a fun, but hopefully helpful contest that can give you a sense of whether your story resonates with someone who's got some experience under her belt. Great! But who are you to judge? Fair question. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. ☙ - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. ☙ - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a Wattpad Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major Wattpad contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. ☙ - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. This kind of insight can be helpful if you're planning to submit your work or even just want to stand out more here on Wattpad. ☙ - I used to provide critiques for three writers, all of them traditionally published. They seemed to value my insight. Read the RULES, LOGISTICS & PRIZES chapter for guidelines. All entries get a brief assessment of their first chapter, with winners getting more extensive critiques. Sound interesting? Give it a go! 😊

The Art of Writing: How to Write Bestselling Novels by Cephyr13

[New chapter posted every Friday] Would you like to learn how to draw your readers in with your blurb and your opening lines so that they feel they have to keep reading to find out what happens next? Would you like to learn how to craft characters who are so interesting and real that your readers would love to be them and can't help but go through the story with them? Would you like to learn how to craft sentences, paragraphs, and chapters that keep your readers enthralled? Would you like to learn how to prevent writer's block? The Art of Writing will teach you all of these skills and more--everything you need to write a bestseller. You've probably noticed that your first and second chapters have lots of reads, but the chapters after that have very few reads or votes. You can partially blame that on people clicking on the first chapter just to take a quick glance at it and maybe add it to their reading list. But that explanation only goes so far for most Wattpadders. The real reason is more likely that your story isn't written in such a way that really draws a readers in, almost forcing them to keep reading. But you can give your story that edge it needs to become great just by following a few easy guidelines and learning some key techniques for success. In fact, if you haven't already noticed, some of those techniques are being used in this description to give you just enough information about something you want in order to get you hooked. And your stories should do the same. Wattpad is full of writers who have great story ideas but very little training in the skills required to craft an amazing story that really sucks a person in. Which means we end up with endless stories that promise amazing plots but can't deliver on that promise. Not to worry, though. We're about to change all of that. So get ready to learn the skills you need to write a binge-worthy bestseller. ***NOTE: If there's a skill you'd like me to write a chapter about, just let me know***

A Simple Dream [Yuuri X Lui] - Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V / Beyblade Burst

2 parts Complete

A simple dream, and poouufff, I give you a fresh one shot ^^. And if you don't like this idea that I write... I think the door lady is waiting for you ^^! (Without being too vulgar). It's a story/one shot composed of a rather particular ship, and of course, very unreal. Two respective antagonists of their anime. I know very well that many will not approve the idea. But we are all free to write what we want, right? Maybe later, after the publication, I could think that it was a really bad idea, very bad. But right now, I don't have that view yet. So just enjoy the story if you're interested.
