This is a Httyd modern au story
Hiccup is a High school and college graduate in zoology and wants to follow in his mother's footsteps and become a zookeeper at the famous Berk Zoo. But something fishy is going on with some of the staff and not because of all the carp they feed the seals and otters, but thanks to the help of Hiccups friends along with an unusual friendship with a dangerous black panther he names "Toothless," Thor can only know what will happen.
(I own nothing except the idea, everything else belongs to Disney, Dreamworks, & 20th Century)

Mistreated and malnourished, little Hiccup doesn't understand why most everyone on Berk hates him. Gobber notices the abuse and steps in, but things quickly spiral out of control and the only way to keep Hiccup safe is to smuggle him off of Berk and into the hands of their allies. Hiccup is soon adopted into another tribe and grows up discovering what having a true family is like, but the past never stays in the past, as he soon discovers when Berk reaches out to the famed Dragon Master for help. Will he help the tribe who wronged him or leave them to suffer? Only time will tell. And, per usual, I don't own HTTYD or its characters.Concluída

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Follow the brave Viking on a journey filled with joy, pain and even love, as he comes back to Berk... quite unexpectedly. 20/07/18: Changed the dialogue format and corrected a few grammatical errors. Sapphire has always been different, or rather unique. Never one for attention or making a big difference. She'd rather stay in the shadows and help without acknowledgment. Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When he goes " old man " tells him to find a dragon and train it and there will be peace bettwen dragons and vikings. Hiccup accepted and went to look for a dragon. When the evil Grimmel launches a devious plan to wipe out all the dragons, Hiccup and Kaida must unite both clans to find Caldera, a hidden land that holds the key to saving Toothless, Angel and their flying friends. How would the story go if Hiccup had been taken by Cloudjumper instead of Valka? What if Hiccup was raised by the dragons, in the ice sanctuary, for twenty years? Until one day, he finds himself stuck on Berk. Discoveries are made, new friends are found, and Hiccup's life changes significantly. Will he go back home to the ice sanctuary and forget about Berk? Or will he stay to someday lead his people? ~~~ (COMPLETE ✔️) This story is a little bit of a mix of a lot of different fanfic ideas. Also I don't plan things out like most other writers.
