Mermaids are only stow-away's on a pirate ship, when a man or women is tossed overboard because it is considered bad luck, their hands and feet bound so they couldn't swim and they sank. Poseidon took mercy on these souls and allowed them to breath underwater and slowly change until they could use their tied legs to swim. Then, they take revenge on any and all sailors, singing with husky voices from the salt water stinging their throats.

A Sea of Scattered Pearls

18 parts Complete Mature

(Part 1 of The Boundless Waters series) In a world where sirens are feared and merfolk guard the seas, Thame, a siren who refuses to follow his kind's deadly ways, chooses freedom over duty. Po, a guardian merman, has spent his life upholding the delicate balance of the ocean's realms. Until he meets Thame. Drawn to each other by an unshakable bond, they defy the laws of their people. But when Thame's secret is exposed, their love is threatened by forces far greater than themselves. Bound by duty, hunted by tradition, and torn between two worlds, they must risk everything to hold onto the one thing they never expected to find-each other.
