Megan Brookes is a 16 year old teenage alcoholic and drug addict. Her parents got divorced when she was 10 years old. She lives with her drug addict mother in a small apartment in California. After her mother gets arrested for smuggling drugs, she decides to go live with her father in New York. Her father’s wife hates her with a passion and her brother Chase hasn’t seen her for 4 years. When she gets to New York, the burden of her past life starts to hurt her and she starts to do drugs and drink all over again.One night she was this close to dying. she woke up in her bed not realising what crime she had committed that night. Who will save her this time?

Some people are lucky and have the most perfect lives, but some of us are like Elizabeth "Liz" Meyers. She's been dealing with school, the lost of her mother, and her abusive dad too long. All Liz wanted was to get a chance to start over. Everyday she wish she could, but that was just a wish that wouldn't be granted. But the day finally comes and she can leave her father. After a turn of events Liz finds herself moving in with the new kid in school that no one can stop talking about and his family. As much as she fights it, she falls for him. She starts believing that her past is now tucked away and she can move forward with her life. But just as things seem to be going right someone from her past makes their way back into her life. Liz soon realizes she will have to make a choice. Will she choose her past or her present? Whatever she chooses, it will change her life forever.
