'Baron Staal was a Paladin'. And with these words Omerod Thorne uttered the most shameful truth that casts a dark shadow across all the great deeds of the Knights of Ukko.

Although Tom Clovely heard those words, it was not clear if he understood the meaning. Here, standing on Plough Steep and looking out across the battlelands of Nan Lithmor, he could be forgiven for not comprehending the gravity of such a betrayal. The young urchin had journeyed far. He had left his home in every sense of the word. But the bitter truth was that he had even further to travel, so far that he would become unrecognisable from the boy he was.

And so continues the story of Tom Clovely's journey into the far north; in the company of the three Paladins of Ukko and their followers, embarking on their quest to find The Hatchling Man, a man born of an egg, and a man upon whom rests the fate of peace.

But a powerful Wizard of Fire stands in their way. And he wants to be left alone...

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. 'The largest egg in mountain high, will give to you the wings of sky.' We all know how the SkyWing egg was lost right? Well, in this world, what if the SkyWing egg didn't shatter? What if the dragonet inside it actually survived? What if the SkyWing was hidden in a deep pit with only a sick IceWing guardian to take care of? After ten years, when the war of the SandWing Succession has finally come to a glorious ending and the Eye of Onyx has crowned Thorn as their new SandWing queen, Soaren, the surviving SkyWing, has been having trouble living in the pit for ten years all his life. He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined... Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters from the best book series in the world, they are the characters of the great and magnificent Tui T. Sutherland. The only characters I own are my OCs. P.S I give full credit to my awesome fanfiction writer friend for coming up with this fanfiction and credit to Book-dragon-Wof who helped with ideas.

Whoever Fiáin was born to be died along with her twin brother. She died when a strange white wolf came into their territory and murdered her brother in front of her. All her life, Fiáin had lived with the guilt of having hidden rather than trying to defend her twin, and it didn't matter to her that she had only been a cub herself, or that the effort would've been futile. In her eyes, her brother's loss was her fault. But just as painful as that guilt was the fear that accompanied it; a fear so relentless that she'd never taken her place in her pack, and had settled into a position only one rung above omega. But her family think she's failing to step up, and her father believes that if he just pushes her hard enough, her inner wolf will push back. Cróga, on the other hand, had always known his place. He'd grieved for his younger brother too, but as his father's heir and the subject of an elven oracle's dire prophecy, he couldn't let fear hold him back. Whatever dreams or desires he might have had didn't matter, because one day he would be an alpha male, and a commander of both the Tírgarda and a naval fleet, duty-bound to guard the coast of Tírlaochra from invading forces. His own guilt weighed heavily on him too, because the oracle had forewarned that he could only take his place once his father lost his life, and Cróga wasn't ready to face that loss, or to face his own self-doubt. When the white wolf reappears, Fiáin isn't prepared for her father's decision to send her away, to be the mate of a wolf she barely knows. She's even less prepared for a journey in the company of Styrkr, a male from across the sea who wants to travel Tírlaochra before taking more responsibility in his own pack. None of that matters for long, though, because when the black ships appear from the fog that blankets the sea, war returns to a land that's known peace for centuries, and both Fiáin and Cróga will need to find their places, for the good of everyone.
