Terrasen has rarely known a moment of peace since it reclaimed its freedom. Following a brief battle with the citizens of Arcelia, a new threat has emerged. A group calling themselves the Revolutionists has formed and are vowing to destroy monarchies and topple kingdoms around the world. They have already launched numerous deadly and devastating attacks against unsuspecting settlements across Terrasen, and are becoming more ambitious with each passing day. To prepare for the coming war, the Bane has accepted many new recruits who are working hard to prepare themselves. Vaughan, the Osprey of Doranelle, has been tasked with aiding in the training of the new recruits, but it may be harder than anticipated. One young Fae, Luciana Alburn, is struggling to earn her place in the ranks of the Bane. If Vaughan can't find a way to help her, she will be forced to leave, and he will lose someone more precious than he may ever know.
