She sat in her bedroom and gave into every raw emotion oozing from her weakened soul. She was leaving, and she knew that she would never see him again. She would never feel his touch, breathe in his scent, hear his laugh, or kiss his lips again. She was usually too strong to hold on to pain, too stubborn to let it ease beneath her skin. But tonight was different. Tonight, she surrendered to the black cloud that was Sean's memory. She layed down and let it surround her, encompass her, hurt her. As the tears began to fall from her crystal blue eyes, she wanted to feel it; wanted to feel him. For the last time, she let herself go to the place she feared the most.

I saw her from across the bar. My bar. My city. Everything in that world belonged to me. She stood out from the crowd like she was looking for someone to blame for her pain. That night, I felt the depths of my mistakes. I felt my scars. With a single glance, I knew her touch would take it all away. I craved it more than anything. I knew she would be a tempting, beautiful mistake. One I would make again and again... even if it cost me everything.
