He let out a chuckle. "Lucy, what a pleasure it is to see you." He spoke in a soft and husky tone.

She crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her foot against the tiled floors impatiently. "You called me here, Mr. Dragneel. Now, what is the reason that you wanted to see me?"

"Now, now, let's be patient, shall we?" He played with the pen in his hands.

"I want to offer you a compromise," he finally said, "a deal, if you would."

This caught her full attention. "What kind of 'compromise' are we talking about?" She asked slowly, skeptical about his tone of voice. It was smooth, yet rough. Husky, yet deep. Loving, yet... Challenging. And Lucy being Lucy just isn't one to back down from a challenge.

"15 Days." He stated, as if there was more to say.

"15 Days?" She repeated, tilting her head in confusion.

"Precisely. We've known each other for how long, now?"

"6 years, sir."

"Then what harm is a measly 15 days? Date me for 15 days, after that, you'll never have to worry about me bothering you again." He said, shocking the girl dearly.

Right when she was about to deny, he spoke again, "unless... You're not up for the challenge, of course."

This angered her. She slammed both fists on his desk, leaning her face much closer to his, letting out a hot breath on his lips, making his quiver in impatience.

"15 Days with you," she whispered, as if pondering on the idea.

"I'll do it."

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 Aarna never thought two pink lines could shake her world. She stood frozen, staring at the test in her trembling hands. Pregnant. A word she had longed to hear, yet feared the most. Would he accept it? Or would he push her away again, just like before? The door creaked open. Her heart pounded. Sharad's sharp gaze met hers. "What are you hiding?" Her breath hitched. She wasn't ready for this. Not yet.
