The Severance

The world as we knew it was finished. According to records, poverty, war, and natural disasters have destroyed most of the human race, leaving the remainder to rebuild and readjust society so that it will thrive as it once did, but better. A world flourishing with no end, for the greater good. A world contained with minimal contact from the few wild and untamed forces on the other side, only a peace agreement keeping things in order. And what happens to those who threaten the order? Termination before things have a chance to take a turn for the worse.
Prudence is a 15 year old girl living in what is known as community A. There she stays with her mother, sister and father and has lived the same life for as long as she could remember. It isn't until she meets Caleb Simmons, an outsider, that things had only just started to change. Death. Disappearances. Attacks. All with no answer. In order to survive Prudence will have to decide to turn away from the only life shes ever known or join an entirely new walk of life all while uncovering the secrets all communities have kept from its inhabitants.
