There are two worlds in perfect balance. Corvea is filled to the brim with magic and magical creatures. The other, Alerria, is simply an ordinary world, but it is one without magic. After the source of magic begins to crumble, its essence begins to seep into Alerria, bringing chaos along with it. 

Nate, a strange explorer from Alerria, struggles to prove that Corvea and its magic exists after experiencing much too real visions of grinning cats and towering beasts. He is then swept into the world of nonsense and wonder where he meets Naraea, its newly crowned queen.  

Maya and Nicholas are basically siblings.... but not really. Nicholas was adopted at a young age into Maya's family where he lived most of his life. He vows to protect Maya after tragedy hits their family, leaving them no choice but to leave their home behind. 

Their stories take place in different worlds, and their lives are very different, but they all share the same fate. Discover their destiny in the first book of The Maegenum Series: The World in Their Hands.
