Love is like a disease. First it affects the Heart, then it affects the Soul.
With the world left in pieces after a devastating virus eliminated almost the whole of humanity. Families were torn apart and many loved ones were lost. Ella Blake is a girl who has felt the impact of the virus as it killed her parents within days of contamination. Her little brother Sam is her last remaining family member who she must look after in this terrifying world.
When someone from her past comes back to haunt her, and a man named Adrian Tait who just wants to protect her and Sam. Who can she trust?
The few people that survived the virus are the last chance for humanity. But with dangerous groups patrolling the abandoned cities and lives still being lost to hunger and violence can Ella trust the last remaining humans? or will she lose herself?
His hand quickly flew up and covered my ragged breathing before he quietly hushed me. His body that was pressed tightly against mine and therefore covered me from the view of the people that were around the corner. The only question that was flying around in my head was 'who the hell is this guy?'
