Natalie lived through a nightmare when she was eleven years old and the rest of her life was her trying to adjust to waking up and forgetting the nightmare. But this bad dream stuck and she couldn't shake it off of any aspect of her life.

When Bennett showed up, she realised she had to do something because for the first time in a long time, she wanted to be happy-with someone.

She wanted to completely wake up from that nightmare and be free of everything that came with it. She wanted to live a dream, a happy one. But dreams aren't that easy to make reality.

Her voice softened. "Not being loved by the only people who are supposed to love you can really mess you up. But you can't think everyone is going to do you like that."

"I still don't understand why you had to bring him." I murmured.

She scoffed. "Have you seen yourself lately? You're glowing, well except for the other day."

Oh that dreaded day.

"My point is, I haven't seen you like this in a long time. I just want to see you happy, okay?"

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Well way too normal for her situation. Amy's life was all good until one day, when her friends dumped her and blamed her for something she never even did. Her life takes a complete turn as her childhood crush, Brandon Mayhew, the Mayor's son, who once broke her heart, rushes back into her life through a series of events. With new friends, shifting thoughts, confused feelings and fighting anxiety and standing for the right thing. Amy makes her way to the top. Only to get at the top of everyone's hate list.

~1 year ago~ Natalie's Point Of View I was standing outside the toilet block talking to my sister about teachers at my school when I saw 'him' walking towards the male toilet. I have been waiting far too long for him to talk to me but he never comes, I don't want to just give up but something is telling me I need to. Maybe we were never meant to be together or maybe I should make the first move, yeah but if I do that I'll seem desperate. "Hey, dude did you hear me?" I heard someone say hitting me in the shoulder. I glanced over and saw my sister staring at me like I was an alien. "No what did you say?" I said smiling in embarrassment simply because he laughed when my sister slapped me. Why do I have to be crushing on a guy I don't even know and is way out of my league? Then again who would fall for me? ugly, boring Natalie who can't even get a boyfriend and probably never will. "I said if you get Mrs. Frankson as a homeroom teacher this year say your prayers she's the worst," my sister said I stepped on a flat square bench, that looks like a really low table but people sit on it and stood on it with my back facing the toilets. "yeah you see I don't think I will" "I think you will," she said laughing. I waved my arm in the air and I felt it collide with something. "OW, you hit me in the face" I heard a slightly deep voice. I quickly turned around and who I didn't expect to see was there. I smacked my crush in the face. ---- Natalie a sweet, innocent girl who finds it hard to find someone she truly trusts. Ben a loud, outgoing guy who every girl falls at his feet. Both individuals have feelings for each other and have for quite a while but when Ben plucks up the courage to tell her. One of Natalie's best friends tries her best to break them up so he will see how much better she is. Will Ben forget about his feelings and break Natalie's heart or will he see straight past her friends fake lies?

"Brandon..... You're hurting me.", I hissed at him as he tightened his hold around my arm. "I don't give a fuck!", He hissed back digging holes inside me through his gaze. The person who stood in front of me, wasn't even a smallest, single fraction of the Brandon I loved... the Brandon who loved me. "Now listen carefully....", he dragged me as he pushed me against a wall hurting my back still holding my arm tightly. "I'm warning you for the last time.", He hissed closing the distance between the two of us to zero. His closeness still had an effect on my heartbeat that raced manically but little did it effect Brandon who stood digging holes into my entire body through his death glare. "I'm warning you for the last time... Don't test my patience. Try and act smart again and I'll show you how I can ruin you, your entire family and that little business of yours and the families of hundreds of your employees. Trust me, if killing you was an option I wouldn't have waited for a single second to get rid of you... So don't get on my nerves before I decide to change my mind.", He said out loud glaring directly into my eyes. There wasn't a small hint of sadness or sorrow but pure hatred and annoyance in his eyes as he uttered those words rendering me rather shocked. He let go off my arm and walked out I stood still, frozen at the thought of how can he hate me so much? My heart still flattered at his touch and here he was... He hated me to death! ********** For six years Amy stayed away from home, her family and friends. She ran away leaving behind everything and everyone. Even the guy she loved with all her heart. She built herself strong enough to fight the world and now she's finally back home... only to be married to ruthless, Mayor -- Brandon Mayhew, who hates her with all his might for breaking his heart. Will she be able to tame the hatred that the Mayor has for her? Or completely loose herself all over again? ***** This is book 2 to Period!

They were the exception The promise meant to be broken They were so alike yet so different They didn't want to admit it even though the truth shone brightly The thought of them being alike was so sickening that they turned a blind eye at any given opportunity They say opposites attract but for Nevaeh and Leonardo that was not the case "Why are you still here ?" She questioned I looked up to see her curious facial expression "I couldn't leave you here" I simply said and shrugged my shoulders , I was both lying and telling the truth. "It's not like I asked you to stay" "You didn't have to" "Why are you such an asshole ?" She said I could feel the intensity in her voice the way she held back all the anger and frustration . My blood was boiling not from the fact that she just swore me but from the fact that I didn't have it in me at that particular time to respond to her rude remark instead I just pushed down my anger and breathed "Well when people paint you out to be someone you end up becoming that person" "So just because they paint you out to be someone doesn't mean you have to live up to their expectations" I chuckled a low chuckle and looked out into the horizon she's so gullible so oblivious to this world to this cruel evil world , "And yet here you are living up to their expectations".......
