Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, she knew them all. She had always been hopeful to have a fairy tale of her own. As she grew older she hit the truth of reality. Fairy tales don't ever come true. Although there is one boy who can change her mind, the only question is will her choose to? Buckle down for a novel with many flips and twist as Alana continues on her journey in high school to find a Prince Charming. In this retelling of a classic tale, Mariette struggles through life with a stepmother that hates her. When she is whisked away at the prince's ball, she begins to believe that her life is going to change-that is until the prince discovers that her slipper is a perfect fit for her stepsister. Fighting the urge to confess her secret, Mariette and her family move into the prince's castle, where old friends-and fiancés-are reunited. Note on Setting: This takes place in a kind of fictional France (hence many of the names, though they speak English). Postscript: "Lady" is a title given to woman married to a man with an estate, much like "Queen" is given to a woman married to a man with a castle. "Mistress" is given to a woman yet to inherit an estate, though of high-class breed (one would not refer to a beggar or maid as 'Mistress'). Monsieur (pronounced Mi-syur, despite the spelling) is a title given to a man that has yet to or has inherited an estate.

Sweet Dreams: A Modern Fairytale by bluepuzzlepiece

This is inspired by a writing project I supervised when I worked with an elementary student. This writing project was a group project to make their own spin on a fairy tale assigned to the group. It had to have all the main points of their fairy tale, start and and with the common phrases of a fairy tale, and it had to have their own creative spin. My student did Cinderella, and it was so fun to work with him and his group, I wanted to make my own. Our dear Cinderella loves to bake, but she's not exactly looking for love when an opportunity to make a name for herself comes up. As for Prince Charming, he is looking for love, just not in the usual fairy tale fashion. And as usual, there's some extra mischief from the step family, royal family, and fairy godmother. Heaven only knows what's going to happen, right?

It all started with a ball. You're 18 he said, it's time to find a girl and get married he said. And give me grandchildren! I tried to said no, but it's not like I had a say in the matter. So there was a ball and a shoe incident. I don't want to bore you with details, it sucked and I hate dancing. I'll make the story short for you. To please my father the king, I'm traveling the countryside searching for the owner of the shoe and everyone but me seems to believe that when I find her, I'll live happily ever after... ... F**ng shoe! 👠 We all know the fairytale: Cinderella, the fairy godmother, the pumpkin, the cute animals, the ball and the happy ending. But what if the prince doesn't want a wife at all? Maybe he doesn't even want to be a prince? This Prince Charming is hopelessly in love with his best friend Adam and has no intention at all to marry whoever owns the glass shoe. There was once were a beautiful, kind princess named Lydia who got engaged to a prince, but the princess wasn't in love with him at all. One day as she was sleeping peacefully in her bed with her window opened, a dragon named Lithon attacked the kingdom. In it's attack on the kingdom the dragon flew to the castle and was going to destroy it from pure hatred for the royal family, but then he saw the princess through her open window. The dragon fell for her beauty immediately, so he decided to kidnap her, it would also be the perfect revenge on the royal family. So the dragon took the princess to his place, the princess was of course not happy about that and she did freak out. She didn't wanted to live with a dragon! But then, the dragon reached it's house and he changed into a handsome young man! Even though its forbidden for them to be together, the princess slowly fell for the dragon and the dragon fell for her.. but how will this fairy tale end..? like every other, where the prince comes and slay the dragon and gets the girl, or will it be different this time?
