After spending the last twenty three years in prison on manslaughter charges, James Walker, is released back into the real world; and while he spent that time stuck in the same state of mind, the worlds moved and fluxed accordingly to time. While he struggles to comprehend and a make his way in a new world to the one he left, his mother is the only one who can forgive him for his past transgressions, or is she?
His brother wants nothing to do with him and it appears that neither does the rest of the town. The ocean becomes his sanction again, as it was all those years before, yet when he comes across a former friend, they fall into a loose relationship. But he can't shape his life around the old one he had forever, and his identity must change to finally fit into the town that doesn't want him in their mix.
