Jax has been struggling with her anger issues since she was ten years old when she suffered from a traumatic experience. Ever since, she's been moving from school to school due to emotional, and often violent, outbursts that result in expulsion. Halfway through junior year, she transfers to a new high school and she thinks it's going to be the same as every other one. Now in a new state, she meets her mysterious neighbor Andy who seems oddly interested in her, but she doesn't want anything to do with him in fear of it turning out the same way as all the other places she's been. Over time, they grow feelings for each other and Jax is determined not to mess it up this time. But what happens when it all falls apart?
