Brianna Webster, a sophmore in high school, flies across the world to Haiti, where the devastating earthquake took place. She must take a month to reach out to the Haitian community and for two weeks build houses with a team of carpenters, then for the other two weeks, teach a class of second graders how to speak basic English. One small girl, Rosi-Anne, is hungrier for knowledge than the other children, and Bri instantly falls in love. Come her parting, she promises Rosi-Anne that she will be back next year, but that is something easier said than done.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
