Kristanya Noctisa Regis is a warrior, but born to the wrong family, the white winged Royal House. As a Valkyrie, a black winged female of her people, chosen at birth by the Avium goddess of war and conquest. Valkyries are gifted with the sange furie, a blood rage that makes them exceptional in combat but also leaves them with vicious tempers and a blood lust they must fulfill. Like only a rare few, she's destined for life in the mountains, protecting Mon' Avium and its people. She must contend with a growing belief that many Avium believe the Valkyries are too dangerous to be allowed a real place in their society and that she was raised by one of those people. She must enter the Sisterhood of The Val and prove herself a great warrior and one who can over come great challenges, including being a member of the Royal House. She must be smart and ready to give the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield for the glory of her goddess. She must win.
