The survivors of the Second Wizarding War return to Hogwarts after a summer of rebuilding and healing.
Harry had been offered a position for Auror Training, which he quickly declined in favor of one final year with his friends at Hogwarts. He hoped that the year would bring nothing but normalcy and quiet as he begins to move on.
Draco had been pardoned after Harry Potter testified in his and his mother's defense during the Trials. He had been released from Azkaban on the condition that he return to Hogwarts and complete his final year. It would serve as part of his probation. With his father awaiting the Kiss and his mother a permanent prisoner in their own home, Draco struggles to find himself as he picks up the pieces of his life.
This chronicles their Eighth and Final Year at Hogwarts.

Healing Draco Malfoy
Healer Potter gets a new patient in his specialized ward at St. Mungo's. He can heal injuries that no one else can and it's clear from the start that this patient is broken. Injuries and abuse dating years. He knows that he can help him and he is surprised when he discovers Draco Malfoy is his patient for the next three months. Harry has to heal his injuries from an apparent suicide attempt, but soon he realizes that it's deeper than that. Draco is fresh out of Azkaban and Harry knows that the guards must have viciously tortured him, but Draco isn't talking. He's set up to stay in the Mental Health ward permanently if Harry doesn't heal him physically and mentally. At the same time, Harry isn't the righteous force of anger and courage that he once was. He quit the Aurors and suffers from extreme social anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD attacks, though it's not from war. Harry has to deal with his problems, too, but maybe not alone anymore. Trigger warning - there are discussions about sexual assaults, associated terminology and abuse. There are many panic attacks and some sleeping, eating and drinking disorders.
