While the two siblings Laura and William are staying at their grandfather's house, they find a sword laying in a wooden chest. A strange symbol is carved into both the blade of the sword and the wood of the chest.

They soon find themselves in what looks like a dark and damaged parallel universe.

Here they meet a strange boy if you could call him that. He explains how there is an ongoing war in the country, Emalon Empire; the once great king has turned mad after the death of his wife and is now seeking revenge on all the people living in his empire. Guards were sent to burn down the villages and kill everyone in sight. So the people started fighting back and created a resistance called the Ridumarm.

William and Laura decide to join the fight and help this boy whom they slowly get to know stop the king once and for all before it's too late.

Blossom in Adversity (TV Drama Title) Cherishing Hua Zhi (Original Novel Title) Synopsis: After hiding her skills for fifteen years, Hua Zhi thought she could live a peaceful life as a proper daughter of a prestigious family. However, when the Hua family's fortune began to decline, she had to reveal her true abilities to support the crumbling household. It became common for her to step forward and take charge, to gallop on horseback, and even to carry a coffin with her siblings to face desperate situations. Her reputation as someone not to be crossed spread throughout the city of Beijing. She was prepared for the possibility of her family turning against her, and she was prepared to grow old alone. What she didn't expect was for someone to don armor and pledge a lifetime to her before heading off to battle! It was quite rare for someone to dare marry her in this world!
