"Sweetheart, c'mon just one little kiss." He smirked at my unenthusiastic face, my mouth twitching at the thought of what it would feel like. His eyes watched me intensely making me feel naked and vulnerable. He licked his lips playing with his lip ring--which he only did if he was unsure about something.
"Daniel, can't you just practice on one of your groupies?" His eyes flashed hurt, but I only assumed it was because I wasn't easy like he assumed. He leaned farther in forward and I leaned as far back as I could. I squished myself against the armrest of my couch clutching my chest, afraid of what Daniel's next move was.
His eyes narrowed," We need to be believable or Derrick still owes us. Either learn to act like you love me or the deal is off." I felt waves of anger roll over me. Did he seriously threaten me?
"Turn your head a little." I ordered. His eyes cautiously follow mine, searching for something to stand out at him.
"Look down, yeah see that golden trophy on my shelf, that's my f*cking Oscar right next to my Grammy so kindly shut up." He jumped a little at my icy tone.
He whispered hoarsely, "Babe... I don't know if you're aware but good girls don't swear."
Daniel and Alexa met on American Idol in 2015, but had since lost contact. In the year 2020 Alexa Beckett was the next It Girl; rising the charts and selling out arenas, this was the peak of her life. Daniel Seavey was the world's latest trainwreck celebrity; dropping the charts and losing fans every minute, his life was headed downhill. As a P.R. move they are forced into a relationship since Alexa's manager owes Why Don't We a huge favor. Alexa is disgusted and Daniel is down to f*ck.
