There he was, standing before me. A wicked smile curved across his bloodied muzzle with an edged knife covered in fresh red ooze in his grasp. His body would jolt and twitch with every second gone by. Those -- what once to be -- emerald, caring irises were now heartless, demonic eyes glaring daggers into my tear-filled jade pupils threatening to rid of my helpless life. Deep down I could still see him there, suffering the consequences, to break free of his internal prison, but he snapped.
I had then realized I lost my hero, my love, my Sonic. My traumatized mind told me he was gone, and I could've never taken the chance of Saving Him...

Then his touch, he feel the soft meters of sheet and the warmth of blanket surrinding his body, a soft pillow behind his head. His body aching only a little. And then his smell... he grimace softly with the bitter smell with undertones of the artificial fragrance containes soaps and cleaners... is this antiseptic? Where... is he? He had a bitter taste in his mouth. His throat pretty dry, hurting him when he try to swallow. Then finally his sight... blinking the blur away, his eyes opening to a white room, he squint his eyes because of the sunlight slipping in through the window next to him, blinding him. He slip out a groan out of his lips, after his brain start to work again, trying so hard to make sense of this situation. He hissed trying to starighten up to analyze around himself, leaning on the frame of the bed with a sigh. A headache piercing through his head. He forced his heavy hand up to his head and tried to stop the pain. With the pain, his memories became more confused and blurred. Still couldn't understand or remember what's going on, he felt more anixious by the minute. Before he can panic, a hand softly gripped his shoulder, gently urging him back towards the welcoming pillows. Seeing a blurry image of a royal blue figure his rapid heart beat slows down. He held the book against his chest as if his life depended on it. He had promised, he wouldn't let go of it. His breath was heavy and ragged, the smoke filling his lungs intrusively. Green eyes snapped everywhere, looking desperately for an exit. He jumped when his back met the thick wall behind him, his eyes landing on the awful smoky creature. Each step it took made a sloppy sound that made the blue hedgehog cringing. Sonic was screwed. He tightly shut his eyes as he saw the creature jumping towards him, protecting the book instinctively. But when he thoughts that he would hear his own scream, his ears perked up at the sound of an audible squeak and a grunt. He peeked one eye out, seeing only smoke from where the monster was a second ago. Sonic's eyes widened and he looked around immediately, his hands slightly shaking. As he looked up at a roof, he noticed a silhouette, standing there, a giant smoky scythe resting over his shoulder. His crimson red eyes locked onto green emerald ones. "Pathetic." the figure said, making a shiver run up Sonic's spine." The blood hunter and the werewolf, who turns out to be Sonic (a rogue), were on the verge of death until they were healed by Silver (a druid) with a shard from the master emerald. Accidentally, Silver may have also placed a curse on the pair. They cannot be separated and are bound to each other's presence. Shadow isn't too happy with the situation, and learns to cope as he journeys with the two- encountering other characters and monsters as they search for a way to break their curse. Not long though, Shadow starts to see the weight of the trauma held on Sonic's shoulders as he struggles to contain his werehog form. -Contains multi shipping The story's main focus is the development between Sonic and Shadow's relationship, with a side story ship between Silver and Espio.
