Life is a game. No one chooses to play or not. But they do have a choice on how to play. Vanessa Adamson plays her life on the dull, boring, and quiet side. She keeps to herself as she walks through high school, trying to get through her junior year. She's not at it alone however. Her persistent, smart, and unexpectedly athletic best friend Jacob Kaminsky keeps her head up and out of her own world. Vanessa plays the game of life with many unexpected twists and turns. One moment, she's riding on cloud nine, and the other, she's walking down a path of the evil, mourn, and bitterness. When something drastic happens, Vanessa experiences a world of lies she's been living in, being excluded from the truth.
