Two scientists, Dr. Jack Holloway and his wife Dr. Lucy Holloway, were sent on an expedition. To a remote, unnamed, caldera lake far into the mountains, this deep and mysterious lake contains an unknown species of kelp, never seen, and thousands of miles away from the ocean. Only, the kelp isn't the only thing the lake contains. During the expedition aboard a high-tech submarine, something goes horribly wrong, and jack is the only survivor. Ten years later, Jack must face his past, obsessing over one thing. What really happened to his wife?
