"There is always light in the darkest of places. You just have to find it and emabrace it." On the Island of "Amist Lucem" or Lost Light, Lilah Evermore has never had a normal life. She didn't know why, but growing up, her village sememd to hate her. Men and women would often tell to forget her dreams, that nothing good would ever come her way, and that is was ok to be put down because she was a female. In school, the girls never talked to her and the teachers never treated her like a student.They would always send her to do task, some dangerous and mean. Boys didn't necessarily have a problem with her, but were told not to talk her, making her an outcast. For 18 years, Lilah never thought her life was going to turn in her favor. One day, while Lilah was walking back to village library where she worked, she was called over by an elderly woman that needed help in the shop next door. While carrying a box of supplies, Lilah tripped over a lamp that set the shop on fire. The old woman immediately saved herself and ran to safety, but left Lilah inside. Her first instinct was to cower in fear. Surely this was the end of her days, but suddenly her hands started to glow. Lilah had no idea what was happening, and then the whole building exploded. After the debris cleared, Lilah still stood without a scratch on her. The old lady and the people around the shop had only minor injuries but immediately took Lilah to thd high elders of the island. The people in her village thought she was a witch and wanted her dead, never to be seen again. Lilah, not understanding what happened either was ready to accept her fate, but a certain queen from another land does not. She has other plans in mind.
