-the real story of Peter Pan- Meant to be. Those three words have tormented countless minds since all of eternity. When someone says we're meant to be together you automatically assume forever. We're meant to be together forever. But maybe we're not. Maybe nothing can really last forever, nothing good at least. Maybe as each person tracks their footprints through your life they're only there to teach you a lesson. They never stay long enough. Maybe forever isn't a person. As much as you wish it to be. Maybe forever is the memories they leave behind. Although I'd say that was the case here as well, there's something else you must know. No one ever leaves Neverland. -the first book in the my Neverland series- -this is not a once upon a time fanfic, this is my own series based off the story of Peter Pan. It's a "twisted tail"-

What happens when the troublesome Peter Pan meets his new , English neighbors and their Darling daughter ? What happends when one of Peters friends asks him to be his Wingman for said Darling ? Theres just one teeny tiny Problem Peter hates that particular Darling. Well maybe he doesn't actually hate her? But he sure does act like it... some- most times Why? She'd like to know herself. I took a breath and quickly wiped a stray tear from my eye, "I'm tired of living in their shadows, waiting for them to finally realize that I still exist. I tell myself to be strong, to ignore the pain that they cause me, but I can't. I love them. I love them and they don't love me." His face softened as he put a hand on my cheek and rubbed away another tear. I gave him a helpless shrug, "When will it be my turn for a happy ending?" ********* Everybody knows the story. Peter Pan flew to the nursery window of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling and took them all to Neverland where they had marvellous adventures filled with flying children, evil pirates, and mischievous mermaids. Most would call it a classic. But there is nothing classic about this tale. Little do story tellers know, there was a fourth Darling child who lived in the nursery. Ophelia Darling was seemingly forgotten when her siblings flew to Neverland, and now she's more alone than ever. Her siblings have shared an experience and made memories that she will never be able to compete with. Ophelia decides that there is nothing more vile in the world than the boy named Peter Pan, who stole her siblings from her. Join Ophelia Darling as she fights her way back into her siblings lives, and somewhere in the process, discovers that life is nothing like the way stories say it is. It's much more complicated.
