In the state of Maine, the government decided to do some experiments. Love experiments. They would give everyone a quiz about themselves, and based on those answers, they matched them up with someone who was "perfect" for them. They go through simulations of natural disasters and war, just to test their strength together. But ariana wants no part in his. She is already in love with theo, the Boy who stole her heart in 8th grade. She is matched up with a boy named Isaac. They start the simulations a week after they met, and they already know most of each others secrets. They soon realize that something is wrong about this experiment. The government is expanding this experiment to the whole United States in hopes to create the perfect human. Isaac and ariana have to stop this- or america won't be so free anymore.
