What does spoiled milk and superpowers have in common Absolutely nothing. Of course, that's not what young Desmond Reid thought when his mother sent him on an errand one afternoon to receive some milk from a local grocery store. Upon his return home, and after having a glass, Desmond ends up having a seizure on the kitchen floor and blacks out.
When he wakes up, he discovers he's been transmitted to a hospital and it's been two weeks since his little episode.
Upon his return to reality, however, things change.
Desmond Reid's ordinary life changes one morning when he wakes up and discovers his body levitating above his bed. Ever since then, the 17-year-old, high school senior has been getting extreme migraines and constant nosebleeds.
After a trip to the doctor's office, young Desmond is told he is suffering from the changes of puberty, which, of course, Desmond finds extremely hard to believe-especially when he manages to stop an oncoming bus. It's then Desmond gets the idea that he could have superpowers, and after an intense amount of research, he learns he has the gift of telekinesis-the ability to lift or move objects with the power of one's mind.
This convinces Desmond to take up the mantle of a superhero.
After spending weeks training to harness abilities, not to mention going about his normal school life, and buying a costume online, Desmond thinks he's ready to hit the streets. However, his first night on the job as a superhero doesn't go as planned and as time goes by, he begins to question whether or not his powers are a gift, or a terrible curse.
Things seem to go from bad to worse when men in black suits start following Desmond and his mother ends up being kidnapped by a man named Augustine, who claims to want Desmond's blood to rid the world of disease.
Desmond must use his new found powers if he's to escape from Augustine's wrath and save his mother's life.

Emerson Rogers liked to think of himself as an ordinary teenager. After all, he had no reason to believe otherwise. He went to an upstanding private school with the rest of his friends, was a straight-A student, had no disciplinary issues, and was well-liked according to his classmates and teachers. If anyone were to take a glance at him, they would assume that he was just another carefree rich kid with no problems in his life to worry about. Unless you consider the fact that his evening plans included putting on a blue super suit and speeding through the streets as a crime-fighting superhero. Okay, so maybe his life wasn't as ordinary and carefree as he liked to portray it. With Emerson starting his senior year of high school, things have started to become a bit more tricky than he would've preferred. Defending Jefferson City and maintaining a normal school life as a cover can be hard, but throw in his best friend getting closer to the truth about his alter-ego's identity and a mysterious villain working from the shadows who always seems to be two steps ahead, living a double life is going to be his biggest challenge yet. Especially when new villains start crawling out of the woodwork, thirsty for a fight, and his old villains return stronger, angrier, and looking to settle a score. As Emerson starts to uncover the truth behind where all these villains are coming from, he finds that not everything is what it seems on the surface. And that he and this mysterious villain have a stronger connection than he originally thought.

Her family all keep telling her that one day her powers would shine through, but now at the age of seventeen almost eighteen she no longer believes them. Her school life is hell with everyone looking down on her because of her lack of powers. With her Dad being Principal though it meant she couldn't even attend a different school. Both the ban of her existence and the only joy in her day is one Caspian Anderson, the most powerful student in the school. When at school he acts like the biggest, most arrogant jerk she had ever known. But Winter has a secret, she knows Caspian very well. He may not acknowledge her at school but every afternoon he was all hers. He was the best friend that any girl could wish for. He was sweet, kind and funny. He never let the fact she had no powers bother him then at all. With the arrival of Zeke Worthington her life became in disarray. He understood her; he knew what it felt like to be the outsider. He told her he had come from a place where he was misunderstood too. Zeke seemed immensely happy to meet Winter, even though he befriended Caspian too. Why Caspian had a problem with it, Winter doesn't understand. It wasn't like he went out of his way to be friends with her during school hours. Even as Winter and Zeke get closer, Caspian becomes increasingly unhappy and agitated with her. She can't change things though, after all in the long run all she can prove is that she has no powers, but maybe she will be surprised.

I didn't mean to fall in love with my brother's best friend. Kingsley Pierce has been my enemy since he befriended my twin brother in first grade. Who constantly tugged my pigtails at nap time in second grade? Kingsley. Who was to blame in fifth grade when an entire bottle of glitter glue just happened to pour onto my head? Kingsley. What about ninth grade (the first go around) when a full tray of beans appeared onto my seat just as I was sitting down? You guessed it: Kingsley Freaking Pierce. The man in question and I have been at each other's throats since we both realized only one of us could be my brother's favorite, and I have been determined to win. That is, until I started fighting a bigger fight. Four years ago, the government announced the presence of Enhanced individuals. People across the country started gaining what can only be described as super powers. There are the Generics (like my brother and me) who have heightened senses, strength, flying - basic stuff really. Then, there are the Advanced. The Advanced have unique and powerful abilities - like being able to control spiders or the elements. My brother refuses to acknowledge his powers, instead insisting he can live a normal life. I, on the other hand, partnered with the government to rise up as Tri-City's hero when the last one disappeared only two years ago. Despite being all by myself, I've put away more Advanced supers than I want to count - never losing a fight. My undefeated streak comes to a screeching halt when a new super appears out of nowhere. Crimson Current. He is wreaking havoc on the city with powers I've never seen - powers I can't compete with. So, why am I so twisted up about Kingsley Pierce when I have a hell of a lot more to deal with? I honestly have no idea. But can I just say, I am shocked.

However, these gifted humans were few in number. Soon, the normal humans grew jealous of their power. They shamelessly threw these "freaks" out of their homes. They were beaten, abused, and treated as slaves. Eventually, the gifted humans rebelled, and a great war began between them. This war would last for years and lead to countless lives lost. Realizing they could never coexist, the gifted humans decided to create a world where they could live freely. This world became known as Trabachi. Hundreds of years later, enter our main character. Luke Sky lives on Earth, where people had long forgotten about the great war and gifted humans. He receives a letter inviting him to Trabachi.
