Meet Daya Matthews, head bitch of North Forest High School, commonly known as a bully. No one knows her as anything more, or different. She's been this way forever. Or so it seems... Nathan Gallin meets this kind, selfless girl serving at the homeless shelter. Her warm smile welcomes the unfortunate guests as if they weren't all strangers. Eager to meet this kind girl, he approaches her only to be attacked by viscous words that would make him just walk away in any other situation. But the opposites of Daya's personality speaks of a hidden mystery that Nathan is determined to crack. Nathan's friends don't for a second understand his pull towards Daya because they know her; most people remember the one who makes your life torture. Even hearing his story, they still believe Daya is a bitch, their explanation being acting kind for her family and the homeless shelter must be something her parents are forcing her into. But Nathan is determined to not let this girl push him away and see through all the insults to the hidden personality behind. Only one other person knows what Nathan is trying to understand about Daya and she believes it to be one person too many. But is it time for her to finally open up, and will Nathan be the one with that privilege? With that knowledge, will all that Daya ever lied for come crumbling down to her feet, or will she be resistant to Nathan and his idea of change?
