This is the princess series. A series of books with girls like the Disney princesses. There's romance, action, magic, drama, and a bit of humor. Ordinary girls like you and me who are exactly like the princess in the title. Cara is an ordinary 16 year old. She loves music and dancing. But best of all she likes to dress up. Problem is, her step mom doesn't let her. Cara's mom didn't want her, and her dad died only a few days after marrying Daphne. Daphne's four daughters are the typical popular girls. Mean to everyone. Cara decides to just avoid them, but they get angry. Cara's life goes down hill from there. Until his tour bus pulls into town... Sounds like your typical modern Cinderella? Sure. But there's more that you would never expect.

Girls drool over them, and boys want to be them. Ever since they started at Allenwood Academy, and she met them, they've hate her, and she hates them too. Allenwood Academy announces that they will be having their 50th annul Masquerade Ball. Selena hasn't gone ever since she started at Allenwood Academy, but her 2 best friends convince her to go this year. Selena gives in, and goes. What she doesn't know, is that she dances with one of her enemeys: 15 year old Nathan Sykes. She leaves after she dances with him, because she wasn't aloud to go, under her step-mothers orders. When she goes to leave, her mask falls off when she turns around. Nathan picks it up, and runs after her, but it's too late, because she's gone. The next day, Nathan tries to find the girl he danced with the previous night, by asking all the girls at Allenwood if it was their mask. Little did he know, that his last choice was Selena.
