Reed is only 14 years old when his controlling mother decides to leave his family and now lives with his father and older brother Rodrick. With her out of the picture and the father always working, Reed can finally breathe and be an individual...not exactly. Reed has always been controlled to the point he has no idea how to act on his own or think for himself. With more and more people come to his life he faces many emotional changes.
