With the help of a local Necromancer they dig into the supernatural side of murder.  Years later, Nick's ghost show's up in Seattle to ask For Genevieve Adair's help.

As this gives her more of a heightened awareness, and a sense of dark energy, The Salem Witches then give her the relics from the incantation, and with her bringing these items home, she then senses that there's more to these relics then what she suspects.
