Small feather resides with one of the Cheyenne tribes in modern day Navada. When the settlers come, they disrupt the way of life that has stayed the same for generations. Can her tribe survive the white people's attacks along with natural disasters? Famine, disease, death and other hardships seem to have no end. Is it possible for a 15 year old girl to be in love? Gatherer of Stalks of Barley is from the Tribe of Soft Birds Singing. Tail of a Slender Minnow is from the Tribe of Rushing Water. Barley never believed that he'd love anybody besides one of the pale girls of his tribe with vibrant white hair like him and eyes like sapphires. Minnow never believed that she'd love anybody besides one of the people in her forest with hair like the dark of night and olive skin. Yet they saw each other one day, down at the river, and nothing was ever the same. This is a novella/short story broken up into 25 chapters and an epilogue. The approximate word count is 10,000. I will work on a cover and on publishing the different parts shortly. I just believe that it's funny the things that you can write in class when you're bored in high school.

He wants to help his parents get better, but that all changes when some foster parents step in to help.
