If you asked me what a demon was two years ago, I’d recommend you to the nearest mental hospital. I wouldn’t know what a staff was, or alchemy, much less how to use it. Or what love was like. Life is funny like that sometimes. I didn’t know what a demon looked like, how it behaved, or how to slay one. I only knew a little runic, only what my amma taught me. I wouldn’t have had my first kiss, or even have come in contact with a boy. Now, I’m the best demon slayer there is. Arthur is the best meðeigandi ever. I’m so glad we got partnered together. We’ve been through thick and thin together. He often jokes that we should both be dead right now, that we’re lucky to be alive. I often joke back that it wasn’t luck but skill that saved us, and then we embrace because we know that we have to go back to work the next day and the day after that. It’s a tough life, but it’s necessary for the safety of others. So, in this story, I hope to tell you of the things I’ve done, why I’ve done them, and of who I am. I am Brynja, the “big bad demon slayer”, and this is my tale.
