Dragon Fyre

Several hundred years have past since the end of the Great Dragon War, and life is now flourishing in the province of Acadia. Everyone is happy......and so blissfully unaware of the ever changing world around them. Even though the war is long since over and the dragons long since dead, there have been stories and rumors spreading like wild fire through out the province's ten holds. These stories and rumors are of strange sightings amongst the city of Cora.......sightings of dragons. Some think it's impossible, others fear the worst.

Those who have claimed of seeing these "dragons" say that if you stand above tree level, if you look carefully, you can see the glint of giant black wings. In the dark of night, yet by the light of the moon. They also say that you can hear distant roars.......and see flashes of Dragon Fyre amongst the clouds.

He awoke with a start, bolting upright in bed, drenched in sweat. His breath caught in his throat as he attempted to make sense of what he had just witnessed. It was impossible. Utterly impossible. That could never happen......could it? He sat there for a long while, contemplating what he'd seen. He felt sticky and gross from the sweat that still plagued his brow. He looked around at the darkness that surrounded him, feeling uneasy. There was no way he was getting back to sleep now. He was almost too terrified to move, let alone sleep. Despite his unease, he couldn't help but wonder....what was that? What did it mean? Did it really mean anything?
