Four years ago, 11 year old Elly Miller was adopted by two workaholics. Even now, she still managed to have flashbacks about the day she left her best friend, Corey alone in the orphanage. He’s what everyone would call her ‘future soul mate’.
Wait, I should warn you that she’s what you would call half a tomboy, skateboarding, breakdancing in her free time; oh she practices martial arts too, but well there are girly moments.
And now, moving to a new school from New York to Miami, she didn’t think she would saw him there, nope, she never gave it a thought that Corey might be adopted and moved to Miami, much less attending the same school with her. She’s trying to stay a low profile, but let’s just say that he’s not gonna do that. Wishing for things to go back the way it was when they were in the orphanage is one of her many wishes. Falling for him just wasn’t on the list.
Well that’s only one of her many problems.
But things started to screw up totally when she heard about the dance-off, when she made up her mind to participate in it, when she decided to keep her identity hidden by pulling a beanie over her head, when someone posted a video of her breakdancing in the dance-off and it went viral, and when she came face to face with this opponent named Corey with no way to back out.
Well now Corey is freaking his mind out to find this girl with the beanie, and would do everything to find her. Cliché much? To everybody else, totally, to Ell, she just wanted to unscrew this mess.

That girl Ell? Oh yeah that’s me, also known as the Girl in the Beanie.
